ABOUT ELEVEN AUSTRALIA

Meet Eleven Australia Co-Creative Directors

We have teamed up with two industry icons as Co-Creative Directors – celebrity hairstylist and four-time Australia Hairdresser of the Year, Joey Scandizzo and Australian Photographer of the Year, Andrew O’Toole.

Through their work on-set and the salon floor, to photoshoots and fashion shows, the dynamic duo recognised a gap in the market for a fresh, fun and self-explanatory range of products that simplify your hair and body care routine by doing exactly what they say they will. Together, they helped create Eleven Australia – a brand that embodies the Australian lifestyle.

OTHER THINGS YOU MIGHT LIKE TO KNOW

Sustainability and our carbon footprint

All Eleven Australia products are 100% recyclable. Wherever possible we have designed and implemented steps to help reduce our carbon footprint. This is a major focus for us, and in 2020 we are looking forward to launching some exciting sustainability innovations around our packaging.

Our shampoos, conditioners and styling products will all be made from a new sustainable material – stay tuned for more information. We know we aren’t totally there yet but we’re on the way, and have currently made some great steps towards our goals!

We also do our best to partner with suppliers who are committed to reducing their environmental impact. Where possible our suppliers make conscious efforts to:

• Reduce plastic use
• Utilise recycled or recyclable packaging
• Use biodegradable packaging
• Use solar energy
• Reduce water consumption
Here are some other amazing sustainability initiatives from our partners and suppliers:

In an effort to reduce environmental impact one of our brush suppliers planted grass on the roof of their factory complex. This grass specifically needs less water irrigation and greatly aids in sheltering the factory from heat, resulting in the lowering of indoor temperatures and removing the need for air cooling equipment and electricity.

Our European print supplier is one of only three Cradle to Cradle certified printing companies in the world. Cradle to Cradle is an environmental certification guaranteeing that a product does not pollute, does not consume the Earth’s resources and becomes part of the natural cycle after use. The idea is to invent and produce products that can be used over and over again, resulting in products that don’t generate waste and are not toxic to humans or the environment.

Vegan Friendly

We strive to offer as many vegan products as possible. The exception are the products that contain silk amino acids from silkworms, lanolin from sheep’s wool and wax from bees. All these ingredients help us provide you with products that perform exceptionally well, and we’re pleased to say that none of the animals are harmed in the process.

Studies have shown that animal farming can contribute up to 60% more greenhouse emissions throughout all production efforts, something that is not the case while producing vegan products.

Eleven Australia is proud to reduce our environmental footprint wherever possible, and offering an extensive range of vegan products allows us to do this.

CRUELTY FREE

Our products are PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) certified and we proudly support Beauty without Bunnies. Animal testing in Europe is illegal, which is the reason why the PETA logo is not present on our packaging sold in Europe. It is also a non-negotiable condition that we have the correct documentation from all of our suppliers and manufacturers, ensuring that each individual ingredient in our range is sourced ethically and that no animals are harmed in the process.
